Dr. Ira Lown

Ira Lown, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Ira Lown is licensed in the State of Texas, Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery in Surgery of the Hand and an Orthopaedic Hand Fellowship-trained hand surgeon. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and has earned a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Hand. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas, Austin and his medical doctorate at the University of Texas - Houston Medical School and continued his residency training at Mt. Sinai (Cabrini) in New York, NY. His Orthopaedic Hand Fellowship was with world-renowed hand surgeon and author of "The Wrist," H. Kirk Watson, M.D. Texas native, Dr. Lown resides and works in the beautiful Austin area where he spends time with his wife and three children. He enjoys golf, sailing, skiing, and UT football.

Dr. Lown treats a variety of hand and wrist issues.
